Father Struggles To Break 42 Litre-a-week Diet Coke Habit
A father-of-two has spoken about his addiction to Diet Coke - claiming he drinks 42 litres a week.
38-year-old Darren Jones has been warned by doctors that he faces health risks unless he cuts down on his current intake of the soft drink.
However, he has claimed he is unable to quit the habit because he becomes moody and irritable whenever goes without the beverage.
Describing his addition to The Manchester Evening News, he said: "I don't really drink anything else. When I don't have it my family say I'm a nightmare to be around."
In order to cure such a rare condition, Jones might want to consider alternative therapies such as hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy has helped many individuals cure more common obsessions such as addictions to alcohol, cigarettes or other drugs.
It also helped cure 36-year-old mother-of-one Claire Ayton mother-of-one of her addiction to Diet Coke. The Sun report that she turned to a hypnotherapist after unsuccessfully battling her addiction to the fizzy drink for ten years. Ayton has been losing weight ever since her hypnotherapist managed to help quit her habit cold turkey.
It has been recommended that Jones does the same because too much caffeine or artificial sweeteners can be extremely detrimental to an individual's health.
