Hypnotherapy Helps Portsmouth Author Find His Writing Mojo

An author who needed hypnotherapy to help him cure an 11-year writer's block has penned a book about his beloved hometown.

Matt Wingett, had been a successful author for years before a subdural haematoma caused by a kickboxing accident in 1997 caused him to lose his writing mojo.

However, after undergoing hypnotherapy in an effort to regain his confidence, he found that he was able to write creatively again.

Wingett's way with words is clear for all to see in his new book 'Turn The Tides Gently,' which is set in his hometown of Portsmouth.

Explaining the hypnotherapy experience in an interview with hyperlocal website aboutmyarea.co.uk, Winglett revealed: "What started the loss of confidence in the writing was an argument with a girlfriend who criticised my writing. As time went by, I just couldn't get her criticism out of my head, and my writing became more and more difficult.

"During the recovery I realised that I had to do something different with my life - simply to get out of the rout of the struggle I was having."

A review of 'Turn The Tides Gently' by spookyisles.com has claimed that Wingett is now able to use his experience of hypnotherapy to "weave elaborate and creative undertones into his work."
