Lohan Being Treated For Email Addiction
Lindsay Lohan is being treated for an addiction to emails, according to new reports.
Late last month the actress voluntarily entered into a substance abuse program at the Betty Ford Clinic is Los Angeles, where she has reportedly been forced to have her phone usage cut, with staff also taking the opportunity to urge her to reduce the amount of time she spends on social networking sites.
According to the story on MusicRooms, a source told the New York Post: "Lindsay is only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day and only to keep in touch with family and close friends. Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively email her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely and she would vent on Twitter."
The source added that the policy has been implemented so Lindsay could "concentrate on herself during therapy," with the distancing of her from her phone a common technique used by Betty Ford.
If the Mean Girls star is struggling with an addiction to mobile technology she should consider using clinical hypnotherapy when she finishes her time in rehab.
During the treatment the hypnotherapist would teach Lindsay how to overcome the feeling that she needs access to her email and mobile phone. Her addiction to emails and social networking sites is a learnt behaviour and the hypnotherapy sessions will effectively teach her how to 'unlearn' it.
