Probation For Bruno Mars After Drugs Arrest
Pop star Bruno Mars has been sentenced to 200 hours of community service after pleading guilty to cocaine possession, the Daily Mail reported.
Mars, who had a hit single with 'Just the way you are', was caught with 2.6 grams of cocaine in a bathroom, after a nightclub performance at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, last September.
As part of his prosecution deal, he has also been ordered to spend eight hours with a drug counsellor.
Mars' arrest highlighted that addiction to drugs can happen to celebrities as well as normal people on the streets. Those who are worried about drug addiction should seek their nearest hypnotherapy association for advice on beating their bad habit.
Through the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), hypnotherapy can help deal with the root cause of unwanted addiction.
The conditions of Mars' probation involve the singer staying out of trouble for a year, and meeting the other conditions of the plea deal. The 25 year old would face up to four years in state prison if these terms were violated.
Mars' Las Vegas lawyer, Richard Schonfeld, told the judge that his client intended to meet the requirements, and his Los Angeles lawyer, Blair Berk, has said the singer appreciated the chance he received (as a first-time offender) to have the felony charge dismissed.
