How We Assess Applications
National Hypnotherapy Society membership is about you, the therapist — helping you reach your full potential. Our application process looks at quality, not just quantity and we are fully aware of the importance of widely recognised standards such as the National Occupational Standards and the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework.
We believe hypnotherapy needs to be treated as a type of psychotherapy or counselling if it is to be taken seriously. Applicants having a counselling or psychotherapy training alongside hypnotherapy skills are able to attain the highest level of membership of the Society.
Whether you are just starting out and are still studying, have an interest in hypnotherapy or are experienced and qualified as a hypnotherapist and counsellor we welcome your application.
Your application will be assessed by a therapist like you, not an administrator. Should we not be able to offer you membership, you will be told exactly in what areas we feel you did not succeed and given assistance to reach your goal.
