Bilyana Wharton is Bulgarian born (1971) and married her British husband in 2002. She trained as Hypnotherapist in 2010 and later as a Psychotherapist in 2012. She has worked in Hope Foundation Charity for survivors of sexual abuse and later in Anxiety UK as an independent hypnotherapist and psychotherapist.

Previously, Bilyana has gained her Master Degree in Pedagogics with Specialisation in Music from the prestigious St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Bulgaria. She went on to travel as a professional musician around the world before she met her husband and settled down with their family in North Yorkshire.

Professionally, Bilyana has trained as an integrative psychotherapist with extensive interest and training in Past Childhood Trauma, C-PTSD, Sexual, Physical and Psychological Abuse, Anxiety, Depression and Stress Disorders. The therapy modalities she utilises are Hypnotherapy, Attachment Theory, CBT, Polyvagal Principles, Person – Centred approach, Psychodynamic approach, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapy with elements of Neurolinguistic Programming.

Bilyana is a Trauma and Relationship therapist, having studied trauma, inflicted due to interpersonal relations, often in the family or in social or educational settings.
She also works with couples and relationship issues between partners, spouses, and Parent – Adult Child dynamics.

Her latest professional endeavour is becoming a Clinical Supervisor and expanding her expertise as a supervisor to therapist working in Private Practice.
