I am committed to improving people's sense of wellbeing and supporting change. I have personal experience of the transformative power of hypnotherapy and NLP techniques, as I used these to aid and manage my recovery from labyrinthitis, tinnitus and chronic pain after a back injury. I was motivated to harness these skills myself to be able to offer this to others.
Over the past 30 years, I have worked within social care, drug and alcohol services, adult mental health services and education.
Utilising my experience and training, I personalise and tailor each treatment session in order to best meet the needs of each individual. I work with people to clarify their desired outcome and plan and review treatment with them. I work by the mantra,'When nothing changes, then nothing changes...' and your treatment success will be as a result of you and I working together in partnership. I believe that we all hold the inner resources that we need to make the changes we want for ourselves- sometimes we just need some help unlocking these resources to reach our potential.
I can help with various issues but my particular areas of specialism focus on anxiety and stress, raising confidence and self-esteem, habits and phobias, weight reduction, grief and loss and pain management.
I am currently employed by a school to offer creative communication opportunities and therapeutic interventions to children so that they can explore ways to understand their emotions and develop helpful coping strategies.
I enjoy working with people of all ages to encourage and support positive change.
