I started my journey into the wonderful world of Hypnotherapy unintentionally. At the age of 49 and unsure of where my life path was heading, I decided to take the plunge and retrain as a Counsellor, which was something I had been contemplating for a number of years. As part of my training, it was a requirement of my course provider that I also study Hypnotherapy.
Now I have to admit, I was sceptical. As have many, I have seen the TV shows – Hypnotists putting people into trance and having them quacking like a duck around a stage, eating onions believing they were apples, the audience laughing away – now why would I want to study that?
However, after a lot of work, assignments and study, I can categorically state that Hypnotherapy is nothing of the sort. My thoughts and scepticism have been fully converted. Hypnotherapy is an amazing tool which can help a variety of people in a variety of ways. It is powerful, it is quick, and it is successful (although it doesn’t work for everyone and there are no cast iron guarantees) but the changes I have seen in clients, after only 3-4 sessions, are remarkable.
